Jean-Michel Bertin
and Le Grand Bizarre , Bal electro-pastoral: Highlighting and music park Bois des Moutiers
An overlay of colors, materials and sounds metamorphose Park Bois des Moutiers on opening night in hybridization between a wild splendor of the English garden and a combo of gross effects chain.
A cosmic electronic music.
A smoke machine top of the slope. A strobe
in a bush.
A fan in a giant tree.
games of colors in a grove.
A fire on a slope.
mics fireworks from time to time.
And the magic of the park ...

Some campaign Jean Renoir + Drift Philippe Terrier-Hermann
Jean Renoir resume here the world of his father, the painter Auguste Renoir. Found, transposed to the cinema, aesthetics and themes Impressionists, so that you can literally match the sequence of part of campaign pictures of the father, The Swing, The Boating Party, or The Promenade. Directed
on the same premises of a Party campaign, which has become reference to the director as evidence after writing the screenplay, Drift evokes many aspects of the film by Renoir. The bucolic setting of course, far from the urban bustle, awakens in the characters same tension between joy and melancholy.

Anri Sala,
Time after time , 2003, video (5 min 22)
Projection in the stables of Manoir d'Ango, video of Time After Time Anri Sala surprises with its darkness, its silence, as its subject. The equestrian theme was treated by the Impressionists, particularly Manet and Degas, as an unavoidable aspect of everyday life in the 19th century. The horse allowed to express the speed, which joined with the Impressionists, the focus at the moment. In the video of Sala, the animal seems to have no place at a time when the automobile has long since supplanted the coupling. The appearance of a still and ghostly horse in the stable is abandoned as an incongruous and poetic that his presence along a highway ...

Schÿler Alice Mallet Light, Space, Water , 2010 Installation
The artist often works in situ, resonance with the history and the vibrations of the place: here, she was inspired prints of arches visible on a wall in the orthogonal tower of the manor of Ango and lightness of architectural elevation. The cloud of feather represents a memory infidel, a subjective impression of the place.

Boukova Rada, From illusion , 2010 installation in situ
A key neon illuminates the space and the sizzling sounds of the electrical connection in the confined space. The artist plays on the double meaning of words and things: the key used to open and close, but figuratively, a key is also a tool for understanding or explanation. This message here is doubled by the symbolism of light, which illuminates and lets see. This work does therefore refers to nothing other than itself: it is its own key, its own light. With neon, light and color, which fascinated the Impressionists are one with the object. We can then question the items gathered here: the light could be the key to color? Or color key light?

Marti Folio Anachronisms 1, 2 and 3 painting, 2010
Marti Folio preset a triptych made specially for the festival: three stars, three angles of a landscape, a panorama that takes us back in the footsteps of the painter William Turner and his meeting with the grove surrounding the town of Arch- la-Bataille. Almost two centuries later, the same angle of view, the primary inspiration gives way to a re-interpretation, an impression of the print ... Nothing has changed although Marti Folio discretion of fun with this factory chimney and other small touches post-impressionists, such as time indices anachronistic.

Véronique Ellena
Landscapes , 2009, photographs
Véronique Ellena's photographs reflect a refined vision of the world, based on a subtle and careful observation. His landscapes invite contemplation, and carry in their simplicity, some emotionally silent. This series takes us back to the basics of classical painting, by the rigor and simplicity of composition, technical quality and plastic images. They are treated the same places as the Impressionists, front frame so as to immerse the viewer. The artist is too much attention to the colors and light, it will be intense, as in Le Havre, or all in shades of Sète.

Veilhan Landscape ghost No. 5 (2003), photomechanical reproduction and Six animals (1989), sculpture
representation among Veilhan, through a schematic or simplified forms. In the series of landscapes ghosts, details and colors are removed, the image is reduced to pixels. Pixels that could be the digital equivalent of the key pointillist or impressionist brush. The artist addresses the archetypes of art within a landscape "shot", the cliffs of Etretat treated many times by the Impressionist painters Eugene Boudin, Claude Monet, Eugene Delacroix. But the impression we Veilhan book is that of an image which tends to its simplest formal expression and not to make light of their own at a time, to express a feeling of landscape. Six animals were spectators of this unexpected landscape. Schematized too, all brought to the same dimensions without concern for realism, they form a community, status undetermined, between Toys, totems and statues.

Christian Merlhiot, The Trials of Oscar Wilde , 2010, Movie, 48mn, ver ang st.

Oscar Wilde was close to the impressionists, particularly the painter James Whistler. He experienced reconciliations between poetry and painting in the form of "visual poems" he called Impressions, and has always defended the subjectivity in art. In 1897, after a trial that turns against him, he was convicted and sentenced for homosexuality Two years of hard labor. On his release he changed his identity, leaving England to Dieppe and moved to Berneval and Paris. For his film, Christian was selected Merlhiot lengthy extracts from the trial to account for this last coup de theater "in the life of the author. It is however not a pageant, in fact, the film features a young translator working for the Arabic version of the trial and it's the same actor, Nasri Sayegh, who plays only the different roles.

Ange Leccia, Sea, 1991, HD video, 4min
In this video without beginning or end, Ange Leccia records with unusual point of view the infinite movement of waves that form and then come running out on the beach. The rhythm of the sea, silence, the intense colors and processing forms fascinate and invite contemplation. For the Impressionists, the sea was an ideal subject for reporting of light and movement, and the colors of water and sky varies every moment. Ange Leccia, natural phenomena can also give to see the appearance and disappearance of the image, its own materiality.

Gabor Osz Stavern B. (Norway) , 2001 Cibachrome Photograph camera obscura
Gabor Osz The practice is strongly determined by the technique he employs: the pinhole camera, or camera obscura. The pinhole camera allows for pictures without a camera, and not through the negative since it is the paper that is directly exposed. This photo is part of the series The Liquid horizon, the artist made from the blockhouse of the Atlantic Wall. Gabor Osz used the bunker as the camera obscura: leaving the photo paper for at least 4 hours indoors, he obtained a photograph of the landscape visible through the loopholes. In contrast to a snapshot is the image of a period, since the only elements that can be seen are those who have neither changed nor moved. In some ways, it is the opposite approach from that of the Impressionists, who sought precisely to seize the moment.

Andy Gillet and Philippe Terrier-Hermann, smartweed, 2010 Film, 8mn
